Graduate Maintenance Engineer
The Top Energy Group operates throughout the Far North delivering geothermal electricity generation and electricity network operations. We are enabling Northland to contribute to the decarbonisation challenge by transforming the Top Energy Group into a technology-enabled energy company that generates and facilitates two-way energy flow between renewable energy generators and consumers.
About the role
The successful candidate will complete structured development rotations across Maintenance, Planning/Design, Control Centre/Operations, and field delivery with contractors to build an end-to-end understanding of how work is identified, prioritised, designed, delivered, and closed out.
This role is based in Kerikeri and will report to the Maintenance Manager.
About you
It is essential that you have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, are proficient in Microsoft Office suite and hold a Full current driver's license. An added advantage would be having experience in the electrical industry through study, placements, internships, or project work. Demonstrated capability in coding and data analytics, with the ability to turn data into useful insights.
Key areas of focus
- Support day-to-day engineering activities that contribute to safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of maintenance work across the network.
- Undertake analysis, documentation, coordination, and follow-up tasks that support maintenance decisions, prioritisation, and work delivery.
- Undertake analysis of network security, reliability, and capacity to support identification of network improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to planning activities and the development of network design options.
- As capability develops, complete assigned design and estimation tasks with review by senior engineers as appropriate.
