Vegetation Advisor
The Top Energy Group operates throughout the Far North delivering geothermal electricity generation and electricity network operations. Our purpose is providing affordable and sustainable energy for Far North consumers, which we are achieving by transforming the Top Energy Group into a technology-enabled energy company that generates and facilitates two-way energy flow between renewable energy generators and consumers.
We are seeking a Vegetation Advisor to liaise with landowners in order to remove or minimise the risk of interference by the owner's vegetation with Top Energy's assets.
This position will report to the Field Operations Manager and will be based at our Puketona site.
Key areas of focus will be:
- Identify and record data regarding trees and vegetation that pose a risk to the Network's field-based assets, including the assessment of scale and impact of the risk
- Identify the owners of trees posing risk and inform them of the regulations
- Assessing the work effort and resources required to remedy the risk and, where required, providing a priced quotation to the owner of the trees planting schemes near power lines
- Provide inspection and quotation services for any other tree work undertaken by the company
- Comply with all health and safety regulations, company procedures and best practice
This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career. While prior experience in vegetation management or working around electrical distribution systems would be an advantage, a willingness to learn and grow in these areas is highly valued. A full, clean Driver's Licence and sound computer skills are essential. Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude are key, and candidates with experience in any service-oriented industry are encouraged to apply.
