Top working conditions and remuneration

We believe in providing our staff with a positive work environment. Here are just a few of the things that we offer:

We provide ongoing training and development

As well as providing a structured induction and on the job training, the company is keen on developing its people, including the opportunity to progress.

Promotional opportunities across our network

One of the best things about having a network of divisions across Northland and Auckland is that we are able to provide our staff with career opportunities. At Top Energy you can really go places!

Trainee Line Mechanics

We annually recruit for Trainee Line Mechanics from our local Far North community for our Contracting Services Depots based in the Bay of Islands and Kaitaia. Along with on the job training, we help them to gain industry certification.

Competitive rates of pay

Our staff are our greatest asset so we believe in looking after them. We pay competitive rates for our industry.

Health Insurance

Top Energy provides all full-time employees and their families with fully subsidised medical insurance.

Wellness

Our employees' health is important to us and we offer all employees an annual Wellness Check and flu injections.

Health and Safety

The Health and Safety of our employees is a priority in our company. We provide our employees with all the necessary personal protective equipment and ongoing training to ensure they return home safely to their families at the end of each day.

A great team of people to work with

We have employed people from all over the world and celebrate cultural diversity. We encourage an open and supportive culture and take the happiness, health and welfare of our staff seriously.

Family friendly

We believe that happy staff are productive and we appreciate that happiness starts at home. As an organisation we do our best to accommodate your family and community commitments.

Supporting the Local Community

Top Energy is proud to sponsor many local community projects including the Electricity Rescue Helicopter, Education for Enterprise School to Work program, Far North Science & Technology Fair and the Watersafe programme.

Communication

We actively seek feedback from our staff and work hard to keep everyone informed. Each year we ask our employees to complete a survey and these results help identify areas that the company commits to improving. The company produces a bi-monthly newsletter featuring articles from our people and different divisions in our organisation, ensuring everyone is up to date with what's happening in the company. Recently the Top Energy introduced an induction day for all new employees. This provides them with information about our company and the various divisions. The CEO and the General Managers attend and do a brief presentation on their area of the business. This is followed by a tour of our Power Station.
